Frequently asked questions the honest answers.
Everything you might wonder before sending a box. No fine print, no runaround.
01 Can I send a box straight to someone else?
Yes — that’s kind of the whole point. At checkout, just enter their address as the shipping address. The box shows up at their door, not yours. You never have to be the awkward middleman holding a package.
02 Can I include a note?
You can. There’s a gift message field at checkout — write whatever you’d say if you were better at saying it. We print it and tuck it in. (If words aren’t your thing, the box does a lot of the talking.)
03 Do they have to know it’s from me?
Only if you want them to. You can sign the note, or leave it unsigned and stay a mystery. Either way, we never include a receipt or show the price anywhere in the box — so they’ll never know what you spent, just that someone showed up for them.
04 Sweet or Snarky — what if I pick wrong?
Hard to pick wrong, honestly. Sweet is the warm hug; Snarky is the friend who makes you laugh when you didn’t think you could. If you truly can’t decide, Rough Patch is built to fit almost any bad day. And when in doubt: most people lean a little Snarkier than they expect. Trust that.
05 Can I return it or swap the vibe?
We don’t take returns — and here’s the honest reason: every box has fresh food inside (cookies, popcorn), so once it’s out the door we can’t resell it. That said, if anything arrives damaged, wrong, or not what you ordered, that’s on us — email us and we’ll make it right. No fuss.
06 Is this a one-time thing or a subscription?
One box, one time. No subscription, no surprise charges, nothing auto-renewing. You send it when someone needs it. That’s it.
07 Who’s actually behind this?
A real person in New York who got tired of sending flowers that die and gift cards that say nothing. Every box is hand-packed here. Not a warehouse, not a dropshipper — just someone who thinks the people we love deserve better than “thinking of you 🙏” texts.
